转型时期地方本科院校大学英语教学发展转向

The Development of College English Teaching and Learning in Local Undergraduate Colleges during the Period of Transition

经济全球化背景下,地方本科院校大学英语教学应符合时代要求和社会需求,从通用英语转向专门用途英语。结合地域特征和校本特色,从通用英语到行业英语,再到学术英语,从选修到必修,由简到难,由浅及深,循序渐进。这样不仅为大学英语找到了新方向,也为大学英语教师发展找到了新出路,推动了语言教学和地方发展。

Under the background of economic globalization,college English teaching and learning in local undergraduate colleges should conform to the requirements of the time and society,and transfer from GE into ESP.Combined with regional characteristics and school-based characteristics,the development can be divided into three stages:first,change from GE to ESP;then,focus on vocational English;last,emphasize academic English.The development of ESP courses undergoes changes from optional to required,from easy to difficult,and from shallow and deep,step by step.The development not only orients a new direction for college English teaching and learning,also finds a new way for college English teachers,which promotes the development of language teaching and learning as well as the local economy.
