Functional Mechanisms of Montmorillonite and Its Application in Poultry Production

蒙脱石(MMT)是一种天然的层状硅铝酸盐矿物,具有吸附霉菌毒素、重金属、细菌,修复和保护消化道黏膜,防治腹泻等功效;此外,改性MMT还具有抗菌作用。研究表明,MMT能提高动物生产性能、提升产品品质、改善肠道健康。本文阐述了MMT的理化特性、改性方法、主要作用及机制,综述了国内外学者在家禽生产中应用MMT的最新研究成果。

Montmorillonite,a kind of natural aluminosilicate mineral,has laminated crystal structure.It has multiple bio-functions,such as adsorbing of mycotoxins,heavy metals and bacteria,repairing and protecting the digestive tract mucosa,and preventing and controlling diarrhea.Moreover,modified montmorillonite has anti-microbial effects.It is reported that montmorillonite can increase production performance of animals,improve production quality,and promote intestinal health.This paper elaborated montmorillonite’s physicochemical property,modification methods,main functions and mechanisms and summarized the latest research findings on the application of montmorillonite in poultry production.
