英语教材中融入母语文化对情感-记忆效应的通达作用 被引量:1

On the Role of Integrating Mother Tongue Culture into English Textbooks in Facilitating Emotion-Memory Effect

摘要 英语教材中两种文化的融入呈不均衡状态,母语文化严重缺乏。笔者通过阐述语言与情感关系,说明了语言与情感关系密切,语言是表达情感的工具。在跨语言条件下情感效价的自动激活证明了在二语学习过程中情感效应的存在。语言熟练程度与情感效价从正比关系上相互影响,相互促进证明了情感在语言中的含量和性质对语言的记忆和掌握产生重要影响。笔者提出建议:母语文化,尤其是中国传统经典文化融入英语教学能够达到有效的情感效价激活,使语言更快通达记忆机制。 The integration of the two cultures in English textbooks is uneven and the mother tongue culture is seriously insufficient.By explicating the relationship between language and emotion,the writers show that language and emotion are closely related,and language is a tool for expressing emotion.The automatic activation of emotional valence under cross-linguistic conditions proves the existence of emotional effect in second language learning.Language proficiency and emotional valence influence each other from a positive relationship.Promoting each other proves that the content and nature of emotion in language have an important influence on the memory and mastery of language.The authors propose that the integration of mother tongue culture,especially traditional Chinese classical culture,into English teaching,can achieve effective emotional valence activation and make language accessible to the memory mechanism more quickly.
