Research Progress in Animal Models of Vulnerable Plaque

动脉粥样硬化(As)是导致不良心血管事件发生的常见病和多发病,As的主要病理基础是动脉内膜大量脂质沉积,内膜纤维化,粥样斑块形成,易损斑块(VP)一旦破裂,形成动脉血栓,将引发脑卒中、急性心肌梗死、不稳定型心绞痛等一系列严重并发症。近年来,关于VP的病理生理机制和干预措施的研究一直是医学界的研究热点,建立反映人类疾病又可适当控制的疾病动物模型作为其"研究工具"也显得尤为重要。目前,诸多研究者已经利用不同方法建立了VP动物模型,为As疾病预防和治疗的研究建立了基础。

Atherosclerosis(As)is a common and frequently-encountered disease causing adverse cardiovascular events,the main pathologic basis includes artery intimal lipid deposition in great quantities,intimal fibrosis,atheromatous plaque formation,vulnerable plaque(VP)rupture,and the formation of arterial thrombosis which will trigger a series of serious complications such as brain death,acute myocardial infarction,and unstable angina.In recent years,the medical community has focused on the pathophysiological mechanisms of VP and researches of the intervention measures.Building experimental animal models which can be appropriately controlled and reflect the human disease has also become very important.At present,many researchers have established numbers of animal models of VP with different methods,providing a platform for the study of As prevention and treatment.
