Osteoporosis is one of the complications of diabetes.In recent years,its incidence has been increasing year by year.Diabetes also increases the difficulty of osteoporosis recovery.The mechanism of diabetes complicated with osteoporosis is more complex.There are many factors which can influence diabetes mellitus complicated with osteoporosis,including advanced glycation end products,insulin level,insulin-like growth factors,abnormal blood glucose metabolism and so on,and hypoglycemic drugs also affect the occurrence of osteoporosis,among which insulin and melbine are the protective factors and thiazolidinediones are the risk factors.Further research on the influence factors can guide the treatment and prevention of the disease and improve the quality of life of the patients.
