Nutritional support is an important aspect of the management of intensive care unit(ICU)patients,who are different from those of the general wards.Insufficient energy intake and excessive feeding will both have a serious impact on the prognosis.Therefore,the realization of an effective energy balance is closely related to the recovery and the risk of clinical complications.Modern medicine pays more and more attention to precision therapy,therefore it is of great significance to understand the importance of nutrition and provide accurate nutritional support for shortening the time of hospitalization and improving the survival rate of the patients.A series of energy measurements have shown that more precise nutritional support should be developed at different stages of disease to promote the rapid recovery of the patients.
