This paper expounded the present situation of coal production in China,briefly introduced the coal preparation process and put forward effective measures for the optimization of coal preparation process with aiming to improve the efficiency of coal preparation and create the highest economic and social benefits so as to figure out the future direction for the development of modern coal preparation plant.
