国外私立高校的发展类型及对我国民办高等教育的启示

Types of Foreign Private University Development and the Reflection to Non-governmental Higher Education in China

由于社会背景和历史发展进程不同,不同国家的私立高等教育发展呈现出不同的特点。通过对发展背景、战略选择、办学特色、经营模式以及发展走向的对比发现,国外私立高校可分为基于学术引领的私立高校、基于优质教学的私立高校、基于产业化运作的私立高校、基于企业发展需要的企业大学以及基于信息技术支持下的私立高校。结合我国民办高校的优势和特点,重新审视民办高等教育在高等教育发展中的地位,探索适合我国民办高校发展的办学模式,在当前显得尤为重要。

Due to different social background and historical development process,the development of private higher education shows varied characteristics in different countries.Through the comparative analysis of the development background,strategic choice,characteristics,management model,and development tendency,foreign private universities can be divided into several types with different focuses including on strong academic influence,high quality teaching,industrialized operation,enterprise based,and information technology supported.Combining the advantages and characteristics of non-governmental institutions of higher learning in China,it becomes particularly important to review the status of non-governmental institutions of higher learning in the development of higher edpcation in China,and seek the right mode for its development.
