当前,关于长城文化的一些问题亟需深入探讨。长城是在经济发展到一定水平和阶级社会产生之后,因联合防御的需要而诞生的。在修筑长城的问题上,秦始皇的历史罪责要大于其历史功绩。李世民和玄烨不修长城,是因为他们认为只要知人善用就足以抵御外侮。孟姜女哭倒长城警示后人,一个国家一旦失去人民的支持,就会在人民的反抗中走向崩溃。筑城与筑心、攻城与攻心之间存在看不见的界限,把握好这些无形界限的基本策略是审时度势、关注民生。唯有如此,"筑城"才有坚实的基础,"筑心"自然众志成城。
