摘要
《委兀儿译语·地名》中嘉峪关以西的地名都分布在明代所设哈密、沙州、赤斤三卫地面,《委兀儿译语》中的委兀儿指哈密卫畏兀儿。这份地名录反映了三卫以哈密卫忠顺王为首,受明朝委任,维护明朝与西域地面交通往来的历史事实。地名录反映的交通路线与陈诚《西域行程记》所载相同,都是取道今甘肃肃北县马鬃山区北上。地名的汉译虽有明显的伊斯兰文化色彩,但尚处于伊斯兰教本土化的早期阶段。《委兀儿译语》可能是与《西域行程记》同一时期的文献。
The place names in the west of Jiayu Guan(嘉峪关)recorded in Weiwuer Yiyu:Diming are all in the region of three Guarding Posts-Hami,Sha Zhou,Chijin,set by the Ming.In the literature,the word Weiwuer refers to Hami Uighur.And this literature reflects the historical fact that the three guarding post headed by Hami Zhongshun Wang,appointed by the Ming court,sustained the road and communication between Ming and west region.The route reflected in this list of place names equals the record in Xiyu Xingcheng Ji(《西域行程记》)by Chen Cheng,both records show the route begins in Mazong Shan area in Subei County,Gansu Province,and thereby goes northward.There are obvious Islamic features in the Chinese translation of the place names,which can be dated back to the early stage of Islamic localization in this region.The literature Weiwuer Yiyu dates back to the same period as Xiyu Xingcheng Ji.
