扶贫工作是中国特色社会主义事业的组成部分,党的十九大报告指出,"脱贫攻坚任务艰巨",这是对我国目前脱贫工作进展的一个总结。当前政府扶贫过程中出现了一些问题:资金投入与困难地区的需求相比存在较大的差距,一些地方政府做表面文章,阻碍了贫困地区经济的发展。政府在扶贫过程中正确发挥作用的新思路,政府扶贫工作要将人民群众的利益和需要放在首位,政府要坚决贯彻十九大报告提出的扶贫攻坚的新机制、新策略、新责任、新担当。十九大报告指出"精准扶贫、精准脱贫",说明我国对于扶贫工作的高度重视,这是在现有形势下提出的对扶贫的工作新的指导和策略,必将保证政府正确发挥其在扶贫过程中的作用。
