《芒果街上的小屋》是墨西哥裔美国当代女作家桑德拉·希斯内罗丝(Sandra Cisnerous)的代表作,小说用诗化的语言描写了女主人公埃斯佩朗莎(Esper anza)眼中的世界。本文中,作者从女性的视角解读小说中众多女性在男权社会父权制下的压抑生活,以及以埃斯佩朗莎为代表的女性自我意识的觉醒和对父权制的无声抵抗。

"The House on Mango Street",one of the most important works written by Cisneros,describes the growth of the heroine Esperanza,and reflects Chicano women's marginal status in American society and their subordinate reality.In this paper,the authors,from a female perspective,try to study sufferings of women life in the society of patriarchy,and their awakenings of self-consciousness of silent resisting to patriarchy.
