Research on Liu Bowen's Thought of “Reducing Enemies”

"省敌"语出刘基寓言文集《郁离子》中的《省敌》篇。该篇以仅仅85字的篇幅,说明了其用兵思想、原则和途径,那就是统治者要以德为本,慎重进行战争决策,兵不可玩,战不可轻为,一旦发动战争,要善于利用诸种矛盾分化和瓦解敌人。本文结合刘基辅佐朱元璋推翻元政府过程中军事战例,解读分析其省敌用兵原则、省敌用兵核心思想和省敌用兵策略主张。

The words“reducing enemy”are written by Liu Bowen's allegorical anthology“Yu Li Zi”in the“Reducing Enemy”chapter.This article,with a length of just 85 characters,are used to explain its thoughts,principles and ways of using soldiers.That is,the rulers should be based on morality and carefully make war decisions.The soldiers can't play,the war can't be light,once they start war,they should be good at using them.All kinds of contradictions divide and disintegrate the enemy.This article combines Liu Bowen's military battle in the process of assisting Zhu Yuanzhang to overthrow the Yuan Government,and interprets and analyzes the principle,the core idea and the strategy of reducing enemy and use of military forces.
