“The Concept of the World”is an important part of Chinese diplomatic philosophy.It continually develops and changes with the evolution of history.Originating from the pre-Qin period and getting developed in modern times,it reflects the thought of grand unification in ancient China.With the transformation of the world pattern,the relationship between“world”and“nation”has attracted attention in the academic world.It thereafter takes on a new trend of development in the new century with the change of the international situation and the publicity on the part of the national leaders.As a matter of fact,“The Concept of the World”represents not only China’s understanding of its own but also a universal way of thinking.The paper attempts to analyze the historical evolution of“The Concept of the World”in Chinese diplomatic philosophy from the perspectives of its formation,development and innovation.
