The Ideological Implications about Confucius' Praising Zi Chan

子产是春秋末期郑国著名的政治家、思想家、文学家,曾被认为是孔子七十二高徒之一。孔子对郑国子产的评价更是相当之高,在《左传》《论语》《孔子家语》等典籍中多有记载。孔子对子产的赞誉主要集中在重民爱民、博物君子、文学底蕴深厚、私德公德兼备、治政措施宽猛合宜等方面。孔子在崇尚周礼、施行仁政、德主刑辅等方面的治政理念也与子产异曲同工,可以说,子产的施政纲领对孔子思想的形成有很大影响。孔子对子产的评价也成为儒家价值标准的一个重要参考维度。

Zi Chan was a famous statesman,thinker and writer living in Zheng state in the late Spring and Autumn period and he was considered one of the seventy-two disciples of Confucius.Confucius had a high evaluation of Zi Chan,which was recorded in Zuo Zhuan,Analects of Confucius,Confucius's Language and other ancient books.Confucius'praise for Zi Chan is mainly concentrated on the following aspects:attaching great importance to the people and loving the people,the rich gentleman,the profound knowledge of the literature,having the virtues and virtues of the private morality,the wide and vigorous administration measures.Confucius's idea of governance in respect of Zhou Li,the administration of benevolence and the supplementary punishment of the principal and punishment is also the same as that of the subsidiary.It can be said that the policy programme of the sub production has a great influence on the formation of Confucius's thought.Confucius'evaluation of Zi Chan has also become an important reference dimension of Confucian value standard.
