长篇小说《朗读者》是二十世纪末本哈德·施林克最突出的代表作品,讲述了男女主人公即涉世不深的少年与饱经沧桑的中年女人之间,从初次相识到甜蜜热恋再到痛苦分离的感情历程。作品从二战时代背景的缺憾、家庭教育的缺失、主人公性格缺陷等方面分析了感情变化原因,反映了社会纳粹行为、法律与道德博弈现象的客观存在。

The Reader is the most prominent representative works of Bernhard Schlink at the end of the 20th century.It narrates the process of emotional change between a young man and a middle-aged woman with abundant experience from their first acquaintance to sweet love to painful separation.The author analyzes the inner causes of their emotional change from several aspects,i.e.the shortcoming of the background of World War II,the lack of family education and the character defect of protagonists,reflecting the real existence of phenomenon of social Nazi behavior and gambling between law and morality.
