北岛的外国诗歌翻译

On the Foreign Poems' Translation of Bei-Dao

1987年出版的《北欧现代诗选》与《索德格朗诗选》,可谓迄今为止北岛诗歌翻译生涯中最重要的两部作品,《北欧现代诗选》不仅在整体上填补了国内北欧现代诗歌翻译的空白,在具体译诗上也有着鲜明特色,如汉语诗歌性质、简洁的诗风等。北岛的译诗即使放到中国现代诗人译诗史上看也有突出特点,其浓烈的诗性、简洁的诗风在其他诗人的译诗里较少具备。北岛对诗歌翻译中的汉语语感和内在节奏感的强调,对译诗实践而言具有积极意义,他倾向于"创译"型的诗歌翻译方式,更可能在一般读者那里收到较好的接受效果。

The two books,Anthology of Modern Nordic Poetry and Selected Poems of Edith Sodergran published both in 1987,are the most important poetry translations made by Bei-Dao,and the former not only fills in the gap in the modern Nordic poetry translation of China,but also shows distinctive features in itself's specific translated poems,such as the poetryness presented in Chinese and the concision of words.Even in the history of poetry translation made by modern Chinese poets,Bei-Dao's translations have their creativeness,which is less existed in other poets'poetry translations.Bei-Dao's emphasis on the Chinese language sense and intrinsic rhythm in poetry translation is of positive significance to translation practice.The mode of creative translation is more likely to be welcome by ordinary readers.
