This paper introduces the source of moisture in large oil-immersed transformer,and factors influencing the existence way of moisture and its harm to the transformer.It puts forward that it is necessary to define the operating temperature red line of oil-immersed transformer,which can prevent the occurrence of insulation flashover accident of large oil-immersed transformer during low load operation in winter
