域外汉籍《燕行录》所记录的衣帽词非常丰富,其中用汉字记录朝鲜语音的词汇最不易理解。有的朝鲜词汇属于大众用语,广见于《燕行录》及其他朝鲜古籍,有的则是极少人甚至个别人的用语。前者多为辞书收录,后者未被收录,亦有辞书收录但释义有误、有别或有待补充者。朝鲜文人使用汉文创作,自觉或不自觉地掺入一些朝鲜语词汇,客观上体现了朝鲜汉文的民族性和地域特色。

Yan Xing Lu is an ancient Chinese book that carries a large number of words of garment and headwear.Some of these words are Chinese transliterations of Korean words and are thus very difficult to understand,some are very common words littering Yan Xing Lu and other ancient Korean books,and still others are rarely used words.The common ones are mostly included in dictionaries while the rare ones are not.However,mistakes are not uncommon even to those included in dictionaries and,therefore,amends and supplements should be made.The ancient Korean literati often wrote in Chinese but were prone to pepper their works with Korean words here and there– a habit demonstrating both the national and geographical characteristics of the Korean people and their literature.
