明代章回体小说有众多奇幻性的葫芦意象描写,按其功能可以分为囚禁、隐藏军队和军马、倾出异物、贮藏、幻化五类。葫芦的奇幻意象背后蕴含着古代人民对战争的求胜心理,对理想生活的追求以及"纳须弥于芥子"的空间思想。

Through many fantasy"Hu Lu"image descriptions in the Ming Dynasty vernacular novels,it can be divided into five categories,such as imprison,hide forces,pour out foreign things,store and transform.Behind the"Hu Lu"fantasy image contains the spirits of ancient people:strive for victory,search for an ideal life and the idea of space.
