The Development Strategy of Local Universities in the Context of New Round of Transformation

党的十九大报告提出我国社会主义进入新时代,标志着我国进入新一轮全面转型期。高等教育在新一轮转型中发挥着主导与核心作用。地方本科高校是我国高等教育的主力军,在内外因素与国家政策互动下,向应用转型势在必行。地方本科高校的转型必须在发展思路上确立市场导向,敢于率先求变,突出应用转型;在办学定位上强调立足区域,实现因地制宜,突出特色发展;在发展道路上,坚持多元合作,目光向下,突出协同创新;在发展重点上,坚持教学为本,着眼国际,突出人才培养。

According to the Report of the 19th CPC National Congress,China has entered into a new era of socialism,marking China s new round of complete transition.In this process,higher education plays a leading role.As a main force of China s higher education,local undergraduate colleges have to follow the trend of becoming application-oriented driven by interactions between internal factors and external factors and national policies.This transition should be market-oriented,and local colleges should be active in changes;regional characteristics should be highlighted;as to development path,multi-cooperation is adhered to,and collaborative innovation is emphasized;the development also centers around teaching,with international vision,for purpose of training talents.
