The History,Current Situation and Future of Higher Education Research in the US

摘要美国高等教育研究的历史最早可追溯至19世纪90年代初期。1893年,克拉克大学第一任校长斯坦利·霍尔首次开设高等教育研究课程,开辟了一个可授予学位的高等教育研究领域。20世纪20年代,美国高等教育规模扩张促进了高等教育研究的繁荣发展。在内容上,当前美国高等教育研究的方向主要集中在行政、管理、领导力、学生事务、学生发展等方面;在规模上,美国的高等教育研究在全球处于领先地位。展望未来,提升高等教育研究的学术认同感及高等教育研究成果的学术影响力成为美国高等教育研究下一步需重点解决的问题。
