On G.A.Cohen's Socialist Concept of Freedom

分析的马克思主义者G·A·柯亨主张要从社会财产关系入手,致力于揭示自由价值的社会现实基础和权力关系来源。在他看来,自由的本质不在于个人享有多少权利,而在于个人选择的自主性。当代资本主义社会表面看似维护个人权利与自由,但实际上,这种带有意识形态欺骗性的"个人自由"背后,隐匿的是无产阶级结构性的"集体不自由"。就此而言,当代社会主义唯有通过构建一种平等主义的分配正义,才能保证社会主义自由的真正实现。

As an analytical Marxist,G A Cohen advocate that we should work to reveal the social reality basis and the source of power relations of freedom from the perspective of the social property relationship.In his view,the essence of freedom is not the individual rights,but the autonomy of the individual choice.The contemporary capitalist society seems to protect the rights and freedoms of individuals,but in fact,behind this ideology of deceptive personal freedom,there is a hidden proletarian structural“collective unfreedom”.In this regard,only through the construction of an equalitarian distribution justice,the socialism freedom can come true.
