the Tibetan feminine novels that appeared in 1980s challenged the male-centered tradition of contemporary Tibetan novels in Chinese language, and achieved a shift to female-center one. These novels reflect on the awakening of self-consciousness and self-control of the Tibetan women. The connotation of the Tibetan women pursuing a happy spiritual life expresses the thinking of women writers on the modernization of Tibet.
