Influence of UN Reforms on China's Participation in UN Peacekeeping Operations

冷战结束后,历任联合国秘书长都在尝试推动联合国改革,以适应国际政治经济安全形势的发展要求。当前国际形势变化和联合国改革新发展,为中国深度参与引导联和国维和行动创造了新契机。中国有必要进一步采取富有成效的应对策略,加强自身维和能力建设和机制建设,在联合国维和行动中发挥更大作用。

After the end of the Cold War,the United Nations reform has been in progress in order to adapt to the changes of international political and economic security.In the context of current changes in the international situation and new development of UN reforms,an opportunity for China?s deep engagement in UN peacekeeping operations is now unfolding.It is imperative for China to take effective counter strategies and measures and strengthen the efforts to build up peacekeeping capability and the peacekeeping institution,so as to play a bigger role in UN peacekeeping operations.
