New Theory of Charity in the Period of the Republic of China

慈善思想是对慈善行为的观念、认识与观点的总结。近代中国的慈善思想经过晚清时期中西文化的碰撞与融合,到民国时期已经发展到了一个新的阶段,内容上体现出更具现代性特点:强调国民的社会责任观,行善以兴办实业为基础,慈善方式注重教养兼施、以教为主,注重慈善制度化建设。这些新思想是支撑民国慈善事业发展的内在基础。

Charity thought is a summary of the concept,understanding and views of charitable behavior.Charity in modern China has developed to a new stage through the collision and integration of China and the west countries during the late Qing Dynasty.It shows more modernity in content during the Republic of China:emphasizing national social responsibility concept,showing mercy under the base of the developing industry,emphasizing doing charity with both teaching and upbringing and with teaching given the first place in the way of it and emphasizing the building of the institutionalization of charity.These new ideas are the inner foundation for supporting the development of charity of the Republic of China.
