地理信息系统(GIS)又称为地学信息系统,是一种特定的非常重要的空间信息系统,它可以处理空间实体以及空间关系。随着现代网络技术、图形处理技术、数据库技术以及计算机技术的发展,地理信息系统在地质勘查中的应用也得到了重视。文中对地理信息系统在地质勘查找矿工作中应用进行探讨,以期为相关工作提供借鉴。

Geographic information system(GIS),also known as geoscience information system,is a special and very important spatial information system.It can handle spatial entities and spatial relationships.With the development of modern network technology,graphic processing technology,database technology and computer technology,the application of GIS in geological exploration has also been paid attention to.This paper discusses the application of GIS in geological prospecting and prospecting work,so as to provide reference for related work.
