东莞历史上第一所真正意义上的现代公共图书馆——东莞博物图书馆,与现时东莞唯一一所以文史艺术类图书和古籍收藏为特色的镇街公共图书馆——莞城图书馆之间,有着一条穿越时空的人文纽带。文章以此为切入点,剖析东莞博物图书馆的建馆历程、兴衰发展及其文化担当,并结合莞城图书馆的特色定位、文化使命及工作成果,从人文理念、文献保护与出版、文化传扬与创新等论述莞城图书馆对东莞博物图书馆的文化传承,梳理和还原东莞此段文脉的传承与赓续。

There is a humane tie between Dongguan Museum&Library which is the first modern public library in Dongguan,and Guangcheng Library which is a community public library characterized by its literature and history books,art books and ancient books in Dongguan.This article expounds the construction process,the development and the cultural responsibility of Dongguan Museum&Library.Based on the characteristics,cultural missions and achievements of Guancheng Library,it analyzes the cultural inheritance between the two libraries focusing on the humanistic concept,document protection and publishing,cultural dissemination and innovation.Thus,the passing-on of cultural heritage in Dongguan is reviewed and restored.
