爱尔兰现代主义作家詹姆斯·乔伊斯是20世纪文学领域最为重要、最具影响力的意识流小说家之一,其长篇力作《尤利西斯》代表了现代主义小说的最高成就。这部杰作与英国诗人艾略特同年发表的长诗《荒原》被文学家推崇为现代主义小说和诗歌发展之路的两个里程碑。小说中乔伊斯主要使用的创作手法是意识流技巧中的"内心独白"手法,因此有必要对该手法进行分析。

Irish modernist writer James Joyce is the most important and influential stream-of-consciousness novelist in the 20th century.The long masterpiece Ulysses represents his highest achievement in the field modernist fiction.This masterpiece,along with The Waste Land-a long poem published the same year by English poet Eliot,are highly praised by liberators and are referred to as two milestones in the development of modernist fiction and poetry.In the novel,Joyce mainly uses the writing technique of“inner monologue”which belongs to the technique of stream of consciousness.In this regard,is necessary to analyze this writing technique.
