Objective To investigate the correlation between gene polymorphism of natriuretic peptide precursor A(NPPA)and N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP)in patients with acute left heart failure. Methods The patients with acute left heart failure(n=53,observation group)were chosen from Department of Cardiology of Humen Hospital in Dongguan City from May 2016 to Oct.2017,and health subjects(n=53,control group)were chosen from the same hospital at the same time. The gene polymorphism of NPPA and expression of NT-proBNP were compared between 2 groups. Results The comparison between 2 groups showed that the patients with AA genotype and AG genotype in rs5063 genotype and rs5065 genotype were significantly more in observation group than those in control group(P<0.05).The level of NT-proBNP had no significant difference in patients with rs5063 genotype and rs5065 genotype between 2 groups(P>0.05).But the level of NT-proBNP was significantly lower in patients with AA+GA genotype than that in patients with GG genotype(P<0.05).Conclusion The gene polymorphism of NPPA and expression of NT-proBNP are significantly correlated to each other in patients with acute left heart failure, and level of NT-proBNP is much higher in patients with AA+GA genotype, which should be highly noticed in clinic.
