Surface Modification of BaSO_4 and Its Application in ABS Composites

摘要 分析了五种偶联剂对硫酸钡(BaSO_4)粉体的改性效果,将改性BaSO_4粉体添加到丙烯腈–丁二烯–苯乙烯塑料(ABS)中,研究了它们对ABS/BaSO_4复合材料的熔体流动速率(MFR)、密度及力学性能的影响,并分析了断裂面形貌。结果表明:改性BaSO_4粉体的表面接触角显著增大,沉降体积变小,其中钛酸酯偶联剂(ZJ–131)和铝酸酯偶联剂(DL–411)的改性效果最佳,接触角分别为111.4℃和108.1℃,沉降体积均为1.15mL/g。相对于添加未改性BaSO_4粉体的ABS/BaSO_4复合材料,添加改性BaSO_4粉体的ABS/BaSO_4复合材料的密度和简支梁缺口冲击强度变化不大,MFR、弯曲强度和拉伸强度均有所提高,其中,铝酸酯偶联剂(DL–411)的综合改性效果最佳,ABS/BaSO_4复合材料的弯曲强度、拉伸强度、简支梁缺口冲击强度和MFR分别达到68.86MPa,37.43MPa,17.41kJ/m^2和8.73g/(10min)。扫描电子显微镜观测结果表明,改性BaSO_4粉体在ABS中的分散性变好。 The modification effect of barium sulfate(BaSO4)powders modified by five kinds of coupling agents were analyzed.BaSO4 powders were added into acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene plastic(ABS)matrix as inorganic fillers to prepare ABS/BaSO4 composites.The effects of BaSO4 on the melt flowrate(MFR),density and mechanical properties of ABS/BaSO4 composites were studied,and the fracture surface morphologies of composites were observed by SEM.The results show that contact angle of BaSO4 significantly increases,and the settling volume decreases.The modification effects of titanate coupling agent(ZJ–131)and aluminate coupling agent(DL–411)on BaSO4 powders are the best,the contact angle are 111.4℃and 108.1℃respectively and the settlement volume is all 1.15 mL/g.The density and Charpy notched impact strength of ABS/BaSO4 composite adding modified BaSO4 powders do not change much,the MFR,bending strength and tensile strength are improved,compared to the ABS/BaSO4 composite adding unmodified BaSO4 powders.Among them,the comprehensive modification effect of aluminate coupling agent(DL–411)on BaSO4 powders is the best.The bending strength,tensile strength,Charpy notch impact strength of and MFR of ABS/BaSO4 composite are 68.86 MPa,37.43 MPa,17.41 kJ/m^2 and 8.73 g/(10 min).The dispersivity of modified BaSO4 powders in ABS is better by SEM observation.
