On Idioms of Mo Yan's Novel "Sandalwood Death"

莫言耗时五年精心打造的长篇力作《檀香刑》被誉为当代汉语文学中"真正民族化的小说"。在小说中,莫言把具有乡土气息的熟语与现代叙事的语言融合在一起,表现其"作为平民百姓"的独特角度和通俗得近乎白话的"杂语"风格。这种独特语言风格主要体现在熟语修辞上,即熟语的连用和改造。因此,本文拟从《檀香刑》中熟语的类型和熟语修辞这两方面来体会作品的语言魅力。

"Sandalwood Death",a long and carefully crafted novel by Mo Yan,has been praised as a"true nationalized novel"in contemporary Chinese literature.In the fiction,Mo Yan uses the rustic and modern narrative language together,shows its unique perspective as"ordinary people"and popular,almost vernacular language"miscellaneous"style.This unique language style is mainly reflected in the rhetoric of the familiar language,namely the use and transformation of the familiar language.Therefore,this paper intends to understand the language charm of the works from the two aspects:the types of idioms in“Sandalwood Death”and the rhetoric of the familiar language.
