中美建交后华人图书馆员群体对两国图书馆界交流的贡献研究

Study on the Contribution of Chinese American Librarians to the Exchange Between Chinese and American Libraries since 1979

通过文献研究与网络调查的方法,论文追溯了华人图书馆员及专业组织的形成与发展历程,回顾和总结了中美恢复外交后华人图书馆员在两国间开展的交流合作活动。研究得出,华人图书馆员群体交流合作方式主要有学术互访、专业考察、项目合作、组织与参加国际会议等,他们在图书馆自动化与网络化、图书馆管理与服务、信息技术等方面对中国图书馆事业的发展作出了突出贡献。

With literature review and web investigation,this paper traces the process of formation and development about Chinese American librarians and professional associations,reviews and summarizes their interchange activities between Chinese and American library worlds since 1979.The results show that the exchange and cooperation methods of American Chinese librarians mainly include as academic visits,professional tours,exchange projects,international conferences,etc.Chinese American librarians and related professional associations have made great contribution to the development of Chinese librarianship in library automatization and networking,library management,library service,information technology,etc.
