社会关系变迁的结构化过程:基于中心—边缘结构的视角

Social Connection,Social Structure,and their Transformation:From the Core-Periphery Structure Perspective

工业社会的人被"公民"这样的抽象身份赋予了人人平等的外在形式,但在实质上,却被结构化进入一种不平等的结构之中,这正是一种表面平等而实质不平等的中心—边缘结构。工业人的生活状态与思维模式均呈现出碎片化的特征,碎片化为中心—边缘结构的生成提供了便利,中心更容易对边缘实现支配,而边缘则倾其全力向中心靠拢。工业人的生活同时是符号化的,他们被组织符号化,又同时将符号化作用于他人,全面的符号化进一步巩固了社会的中心—边缘结构。对工业社会之中心—边缘结构生成、巩固与变动的阐释的最终目的在于批判与超越,批判这一表面平等而实质不平等的结构,进而在对未来的构建中实现对旧结构的超越。

After the breakdown of hierarchical structure in the Agriculture Society,human beings in the Industrial Society have been awarded the formal equality by sharing the common abstract identity such as citizen.However,substantially,they have been involved in a new unequal core-periphery structure.The industrial men are living with various identities and roles,and have to shuttle back and forth between different arenas based on different principles.Therefore,their life and thinking mode have presented a feature of fragmentation,which contributes to the generation of the core-periphery structure.The industrial men have also presented a feature of symbolization,which finally has strengthened the core-periphery structure and deprived people s ability of critical thinking and imagination.
