摘要
嵌入图像编码算法(EZW)是一种优秀的图像压缩算法,然而该算法没有充分利用小波变换系数的某些特性,将小波系数的最低频子带与其他高频子带统一编码,这无疑会影响其编码效率与质量。针对EZW算法存在的不足,提出了一种改进算法。改进算法通过对低频子带与高频子带分别编码,提高EZW算法效率。实验结果表明,改进算法的图像恢复质量和编码速度均优于传统EZW算法。
The embedded zerotree wavelet compression(EZW)is a good image compression method,but this method can’t fully use some features of the wavelet coefficients.It code the lowest frequency wavelet coefficients with other high frequency together,which decreases the coding efficiency and the coding quality.An improved algorithm based on EZW algorithm is proposed.The new method improved the EZW efficiency according to encode the lowest frequency and others respectively.The experiment results show that the improved algorithm better than the EZW algorithm in the aspects of image restoration quality and the compression efficiency.
