The Application of the STM to English Teaching in Primary School

摘要 The Situational Teaching Methodology(STM)is a neoteric and effective teaching method,which aims to create situations to arouse the students’interest of learning.In the process of English teaching,the STM emphasizes on the real situation of language learning,and facilitates students’listening and speaking skills by creating situations.It can create the vivid scene during teaching to help students understand the teaching materials in the textbooks.In primary-school English teaching,it is vital to use the proper method to teach pupils to learn English according to their characters.
