How Does The Late Qing Dynasty Deal With Local Events of Foreign Affairs——A Re Study of Silin Christian Case And Margary Affair

西林教案和马嘉理事件均为近代史上的重要事件,若将二者联系考察,或能对晚清与列强关系的研究提供新视角。地方性事件在强权政治下的国家关系中成为强者达成目的的籍口,由于国家实力悬殊,原本属于内政的地方性事件升级为国家之间外交博弈,一系列条约的签订则是其最终解决。晚清时期以条约体系为主干的对外关系格局逐步形成。

The Silin Christian Case and the Margary Affair are both important events in modern history,it will provide a new perspective for the study of relations between the Late Qing Dynasty and the western great powers if we collect the two.After clarifying the two events,this article holds that local events are the reason for achieving the goal of the strong power in relations under power politics.Due to the great disparity between countries,the local events grow into internal diplomatic affairs,and the series of treaties was the final solution.In late Qing Dynasty,the pattern of foreign relations dominated by treaty system was gradually formed.
