As an ideal community,American campus,although partly adhered to English collegiate tradition,has relocated in the countryside of new continent and developed its own character of open landscape,which has also become a model of modern universities and cities.So far as the contemporary expansion of universities and cities is concerned,American campus seeks to maintain its character of open landscape with different strategies in density and scale,which might also throw light on future development of universities and cities combined with landscape.
