家庭资本与教育获得:基于影子教育中介效应分析

Family Capital and Educational Attainment:Analysis on the Mediating Effect of Shadow Education

影子教育正日益成为学校教育的补充,并可能成为家庭资本影响学生教育获得的新中介,但鲜有实证研究探讨影子教育在家庭资本与教育获得之间的中介效应问题。本文构建了家庭资本影响子女教育获得的联合社会再生产理论模型,并利用中国教育追踪调查2014年数据检验了影子教育在家庭资本影响初中学生教育获得过程中的中介效应,揭示了学校教育和影子教育联合社会再生产的作用机制。为了限制家庭资本对教育获得的影响,政府应该向成绩落后且家庭资本欠缺的初中生提供政策支持以削弱影子教育在家庭资本与学生教育获得之间中介作用,促进教育跨越代际效应功能的发挥。

The shadow education is increasingly become the supplement of school education,and may become a new intermediary for the family capital influence student education attainment.However,there is few empirical study to investigate the mediating effect between family capital and educational attainment.This paper constructed the theoretical model of joint social reproduction for the influence of family capital on children’s education attainment.By using the data from China Education Panel Survey in 2014(CEPS 2014),this paper verified the mediating effect of shadow education in the process of family capital influence on the achievement for junior high school students.The result reveals that there is a joint social reproduction function for school education and shadow education.In order to limit the impact of family capital on education attainment,the government should provide policy support for junior high school students with low family capital and poor achievement to weaken the mediating role of shadow education between family capital and students’educational attainment.Meanwhile,to exert the function of education across the generation effect.
