浅析曾侯與钟铭“营宅汭土”之地理原因

据曾侯與钟铭记载,周王"抚定天下"后,命曾经"左右文武"的曾国祖南公括至江汉地区营宅建设,其实际用意乃是监视并统治淮夷。而之所以选择"营宅汭土"之地理原因在于,江汉汇流地区通往淮夷处所的水路交通条件极为便利,曾国营宅于此,可便于对淮夷的监视与统治。

As engraved onBronze vessels belonging to the Dukc Zcng Hou Yu,once the Emperor of Zhou had“brought peace to all under heaven”,he commanded the ancestor of the Zeng Nation,he who“served and protcctcd both the emperors Wen and Wu”,to head towards and establish base at the intersection between the Yangtze and Han rivers.This was done so in order to surveillance and rule over the foreign tribes living by the Huai river,and its location was chosen due to its logistical convenience by water that greatly facilitated the achievement of such aims.
