摘要
清末民初,铁路与人民日常生活产生了日益密切的联系,人们对于铁路对于促进地区经济社会发展所起的重要作用的认识也日益深刻。由此,铁路的建设、规划及线路走向开始为各地的有识之士所注意,在粤汉铁路的线路规划过程中,湘潭、浏阳、岳阳、湘阴等地的社会精英,出于维护乃至于最大化本地利益的考虑,通过各种途径游说有关部门,力图使将要建设的铁路能够最大限度地符合本地利益。这种现象,直到今天仍然广泛存在,所以,历史上人们对于铁路的争夺,乃是一种合理的存在,我们应当报以同情的理解。
In the late Qing and early Republic of China,there was a close relationship between railway and people’s daily life.Therefore,people realized that railway had play a very important role in improving their regional economic and social development.Hence,more and more persons with breadth of vision paid attenion to the construction,planning and circuit of railway.In the construction of Hunan section of Canton-Hankou railway,social elites of Xiangtan,Liuyang,Yueyang,Xiangyin went to lobby the officials in orde to make their regional benefit maximization.The phenomenon that fights for railway exists until today means the modern means of transport are important motivation to improve regional economic and social development.
