摘要
阅读是学习英语的主要输入手段之一,阅读能力的高低直接影响着综合语言能力。然而,学生英语阅读能力的培养仅仅依靠在课内阅读教材输入是远远不够的,还需要在课外进行大量的阅读活动。本研究依据自主学习理论,在苏北一所高中的110名高二年级学生中开展了为期14周的课外英语自主阅读活动。实践证明,课外自主阅读对学生的阅读能力产生了积极的影响。
Reading is an important means of language input.Reading competency is an essential component of communicative language competency.However,the improvement of students’reading ability cannot rely on reading textbooks in class only.It is also necessary for students to do some extracurricular reading.Based on the theories of learner autonomy,the author conducted a 14-week experiment with 110 students from a senior high school in the north of Jiangsu as the subjects.The results demonstrate that extracurricular autonomous reading has had a considerable influence on the students’reading ability in a positive way.
