"中国边疆学"是对中国古今边疆为核心的诸问题予以系统性研究形成的学术领域或范畴,扩而伸展亦可谓之学科体系。将其作为特定对象进行研究,从边疆维度认识和理解中国古今历史及呈现出居于世界东方之文明体的衍化与特点,具有其他维度不可替代又不可或缺的作用和价值。当下的"中国边疆学"的展开固然有思酌的现世性变量,然而这一研究对象内存的学术价值更是其成为体系予以关注的逻辑延展。这构成了文章对"中国边疆学"概念、界定与学科体系思考的着眼点。

“China's Borderland Studies”is an academic field or category for systematically researching the questions centered on China's borderland from antient to now,and also be broadened as a subject system.With borderland as a special object to research,the borderland perspective has an irreplaceable and necessary use and value to know and understand China's history and the evolvement and characteristics of this civilization appeared in the world s east.Although there are some contemporary variable quantity for“China's Borderland Studies”to be developed today,this research object s inner academic value and its logic extension make it become a subject system to be noted.This becomes the starting point for this article to discuss the concept of“China's Borderland Studies”,and its definition and subject system.
