字符云在民族与民俗专题地图编制中的应用

Application of Tag Cloud in Thematic Map Production of Ethnic Nationalism and Folk-custom

在专题要素表达中,字符云可直观描述空间规律性较弱、总体单位较多、数据差异性较大的抽象对象,以其为基础的表达方式对数据可视化和提高专题地图表现力有重要意义。借鉴字符云的设计思想和原则,研究了字符云在专题地图制作中的具体应用;并以民族与民俗专题地图为例,设计和实现了一种基于字符云的专题要素表示方法,以提高地图数据的可读性和图幅的表现力。

The tag cloud is an effective visual representation of text data, which is generally used to depict the data of weak spatial interaction, large amount and the widely divergence. It attaches great importance to data visualization and improve the presentation of the thematic map. Based on the idea and principle of tag cloud, taking the thematic map of ethnic nationalism and folk-custom for example, we studied the application of tag cloud in thematic map production, and implemented a special feature representation method based on tag cloud, to improve the legibility of the map data and the expressiveness of the map.
