体育史的困局与突围:北美体育史协会“主席论坛”述评

Challenges and Opportunities for Sport History: A Critical Review to the “President Forum” of NASSH

采用文献资料和专家访谈法,对北美体育史协会2016年"主席论坛"内容进行评析。结果显示:北美、西欧和澳大利亚大学中的体育史学科发展正面临前所未有的挑战,欠合理的学术评价指标及短视、功利化的大学教育导向难辞其咎;积极调整选题方向、寻求跨学科的研究资源、加强与公众的互动是提升体育史学科质量及其社会影响力的必由之路。提出启示:中国体育史学者应通过跨学科协同创新,树立中国体育史的学科自信,同时加强与外部的学术交往,为世界体育提出中国式问题、贡献中国化方案。

Literature review and expert interview have been used to analyzed the“President Forum”(2016)of NASSH.The results find that the sport history in north America,west Europe and Australia are now facing with challenges,which could be ascribed to the unreasonable academic assessment indicators as well as the short-sighted and utilitarian higher education system.Therefore,a variety of suggestions are put forward,which include adjusting research topics and methods,acquiring academic resources with across disciplines,and strengthening the cultural interaction with the public.Sports historians in China should establish the academic self-confidence by improving the inter-disciplinary cooperation and the external academic exchanges.Only by this can they raise the questions and provide solutions with Chinese insights.
