新闻报纸与高校学报都是传播媒体,一个归类新闻媒体,一个归类学术期刊,故对编辑素养和能力的要求有相同相似之处,但生产内容和生产流程却有很大区别.新闻编辑注重团队合作,围绕编辑方针决策、组织、加工、把关和发言,追求报道真实卓越,引导社会舆论,编辑素养需厚积薄发;学术期刊对编辑个体的学术水平、学术眼光和专业素质要求更高,更需要"板凳要坐十年冷""为他人做嫁衣裳"的精神.编辑是一个国家、一个民族文明、文化的守望者和传承扛旗人,其作用与价值、责任与担当不容忽视,社会需要对其付出更多的关爱和行动支持.

Both newspapers and college journals are paper media,with one belonging to news media and the other academic periodicals.They require the editors to have similar qualities and abilities in editing,but with great differences in the production of content and process.Newspaper editors pay attention to team work,making decisions,organizing,processing and checking raw materials,speaking to the public according to editorial policies,pursuing authenticity and excellence of reports,and guiding public opinions.All these requires news editors to accumulate profound knowledge and practice.By contrast,academic periodicals calls individu?al editor for higher academic standards,academic insight and professional competence,and for a spirit of being ready to work hard patiently without any recognition(as a Chinese proverb goes“doing research patiently for ten years”)and serving others instead of themselves(as a Chinese proverb goes“making wedding clothes for others”).Editors are watchdogs and inheritors of a nation and of its civilization,ang culture and inheritance as well.Their role and significance,their responsibilities and duties cannot be ignored,and the society should give them more love and support.
