A Brief Discussion on Zhang Taiyan's Thoughts Features

章太炎思想的矛盾性尽管与历史的变迁相联系,但其中也存在稳定的成分,这就是在一种两极振荡中将传统和现代、道德与虚无、神秘体验与科学方法等对立的方面融合在一起,由此呈现出一种多元的外貌。他对佛学的理解也渗透了那种神秘主义,而其对国学的态度则倾向振荡的两端,并不是那种中间状态或中庸了。

There are some stable elements in Zhang Taiyan s thoughts,accompanied by contradictoriness which has something to do with historical changes.It is,as a matter of fact,a pluralistic integration between two opposites in their collisions,such as tradition and modernity,morality and nihility,mystical experiences and scientific methods,etc.In addition,it can be found that the mysticism is pervasive in his understanding towards Buddhism learning,and his attitude of Chinese studies is likely to be on two sides of the opposite rather than in the manner of betweenness or mean.
