试析《新青年》“左行横迤”与标点符号的倡导

An Analysis on the Proposal of“Left-transversal Typesetting”and Punctuations in New Youth

在《新青年》之中,可以看到对"左行横迤"与标点符号的探讨有着不同观点的交汇。经过数次的讨论,取得若干的共识,但直至《新青年》终刊仍是没有解决"左行横迤"的问题。在《新青年》之中,标点符号使用取得了阶段性成果,但其内部也存在不同的声音。郭绍虞等人正面肯定了以标点符号为代表的五四白话文的外部创制,确定诸如标点符号的问题是最为根本性的问题,站在了新文学特质的高度予其以极高的评价。

There were different views towards“left-transversal typesetting”and punctuation in New Youth and some agreements were reached after several discussions.However,the topic of“left-transversal typesetting”has not yet been solved up to its final publication.In addition,initial success has been achieved upon punctuation with different voices.The positive role of exterior creation of May 4 Vernacular Chinese,represented by punctuation,has been admitted by Guo Shaoyu,etc.,which put the punctuation as the fundamental of the Vernacular Chinese.As a result,a very splendid review is made upon the reform from the perspective of new literature.
