情怀·营造--东方之门设计札记

FEELINGS & CREATION:READING NOTES OF THE DESIGN OF THE GATE OF THE ORIENT

"东方之门"是屹立于苏州工业园区金鸡湖畔的地标建筑之一,也因为其夸张的造型而成了大众视野中的"话题建筑",它的特立独行很大程度上源于业主在项目中倾注的情怀和期待。本文概述了东方之门项目的基本信息和区位特点,并选取了项目中三个最独特的闪光点作为线索,结合情怀的展开和设计的思考,讲述一些东方之门建筑设计背后的故事。

The Gate of the Orient is one of the landmark buildings standing beside Jinjihu Lake in Suzhou Industrial Park and is also a“talked-about building”in the public view because of its exaggerated shape.Its uniqueness is largely due to the feelings and expectations poured into the project by the owner.This paper provides an overview of the basic information and location characteristics of the Gate of the Orient projectand selects three most unique highlights in the project as clues to tell some stories behind the design of the Gate of the Orient in combination with the elaboration of feelings and design considerations.
