Inheritance and Innovation: A View of the Development of Traditional Chinese Art from the Graduation Artwork Exhibition of Central Academy of Fine Arts Chen Ping

2018年中央美术学院毕业展和百年校庆同时进行,央美毕业生积极地为百年校庆进行绘画创作,作品种类丰富多彩。《当代美术家》对话中央美术学院中国画学院院长陈平,对毕业展的展览情况做了简要分析,并就中国画作为传统的艺术学科,如何在继承传统的基础上推陈出新、书法如何观看等问题进行了探讨。

In 2018,the Central Academy of Fine Arts graduation exhibition and the 100-year anniversary were held simultaneously.The CAFA graduates actively carried out painting creation for the 100-year celebration,and their works were diverse.Contemporary Artists has made a conversation with Chen Ping,Dean of the School of Chinese Painting at Central Academy of Fine Arts,giving a brief analysis of the situation of the graduation exhibition,and had a discussion about how the Chinese painting,as a traditional art discipline,innovates on the basis of inheriting tradition,and how to read calligraphy,etc.
